Long time no C
This week's been boring and sort of a rush - like those things you get all of a sudden after a huge, long bout of boredom. So right after exams comes this. By the way, I (and many others) have been bombarded with requests to blog and spread the word about SAVING THE 1411 TIGERS THAT ARE STILL LEFT IN INDIA (I so do not blame them)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well. This is to create awareness about that beautiful cat that we've all been so familiarly brought up with, not having a clue until well into primary school that their years were, in fact, numbered. Or at least, some of theirs.
As a personal favour, if any of you have pictures of haunted houses, please e-mail to flickflames@gmail.com . Will tell you the reason if the result turns out to be good (not the drawing, but the person).
Will post when I have the time and energy...sorry but I'm not really satisfied with this post. Bye!

NOTICE
We're in February, one of my favourite months of the year. Not just because of the less number of days, but because of the season. It's not too cold, and that't the big break and the last month you get to enjoy school before the Angry Final Monster comes along. And your parents and teachers are its minions. No offence, but there is a certain way to study, and it is NOT reading mindlessly every hour of every single day in Feb (yeah, that's what it actually is) and subconsciously mugging half the thing up, but feeding it into your head with a certain interest that only occurs when you read it less often, and out of boredom, not to induce sleep. Which is rare, I'm sure, but it works for me. It's the same thing when you read fiction. You don't study it like in detail, but it goes into your head nonetheless. That's because your brain works in a slightly different way when you're concentrating with a different edge.
Well, I'll conclude my lecture. Another reason why I like Feb is because of the Aquarius sign, people born under which I tend to mostly like. Oh,whatever.
I have been unsuccessful, as always, in contributing to the school magazine. It never strikes me to write when I want to and there is an actual deadline. Speaking of which, can anyone suggest a topic (in the form of a comment, email or FB wall post) for me to write about, that is, if you want me to write about it, and by the deadline that is TOMORROW (Feb 3rd)?!!! Will You Stay (Check older posts) is sort of personal and isn't in any way school related.
Do any of you like Hard by Rihanna? Well I sort of liked the video and the song is highly electronically exciting, even though it hasn't got any intelligible lyrics or up-to-Rihanna-mark vocals, and that it sort of insults bloggers. But I suggest cause it's a fun song, and people don't mind a little excitement now and then. Other than that, I suggest Russian Roulette and Fire Bomb from the same album, Rated R.
I'm really bored and well, I don't know much why, but I better go and worship what I need to. 10 points for guessing, Goodbye, and good night.

Continuing...
....So that is really kinda sad when you discover unexplainable powers that you never got to use. And when you discover your powers, you are carted off to camp, where you are trained for battle and heroism. You stay in the Hermes cabin (the Messenger God) until you are claimed by your parent, as Hermes isn't very picky. He's a nice guy, that one. He helped Percy on his journey to the Sea of Monsters. I really don't know what more to say. But the book is a good read for modern fantasy/fiction lovers as well as mythologically obsessed people. It has a lot of references to modern daily life. I'll bring them to life when there's enough bijli. Bye!

Grover Underwood
Hey!!! Random title, I know. I was just reading Percy Jackson for the second time. This font is called Mason, which you can download from @ www.artemis-fowl.com . I get obsessed easily with fantasy novels, Artemis Fowl being no exception, as I fell in love with him in like the 4th Grade. And known people cannot miss my fanaticism when I go after these things. Little things are like these, when I download what most people call crap. I call it devotion, respect, and being true and loyal to what you like. Crazy, I know. But it doesn’t hurt to get detached from the real world for a while…
I should stop as I guess you’d get lost in my highly expressive train of thought. By the way, I was reading Percy Jackson, and even though it’s this Greek-mythology-compact-version, sorta kiddy novel, it’s funny, and kind of concentrates on relationships. For one, the Gods. They’re all related, but they don’t have DNA,so they’re still allowed to date and all of that. And the friendships. When a Greek God and a mortal human being (one who can see through the Gods’ enchantments, a Mist) get kids, the kids are heroes and are danger magnets to monsters who, even after they’re maimed, are never permanently destroyed. This relates to a society that constantly changes, where people must constantly keep evil at bay as they’re never really purged of it. And then the fact that most of the kids aren’t claimed or recognised by their parents until a lil later than they have to, by which time they will supposedly be trained enuf to handle monsters, or never claimed at all.
I am watching 3 Idiots now, and I really need to go. More on relationships in the next post. Buh-bye.

Finally...Time to Chuck Resolutions...Only to Make Room for More
I saw 3 Idiots yesterday...REALLY FUNNY I'D GIVE IT A FIVE*****!!!! And I cried through the whole last quarter, starting from when Raju tried to commit suicide. But I was mostly crying with laughter after that. And I suggest reading the book version, Five Point Someone by Chetan Bhagat, which even though not much compared to the movie, is good. I gotta go study as a test's right round the corner soon. I hope I can control the temptation to listen to music for another half an hour (which, by the way, keeps repeating every 5 minutes).
And I have a holiday this Thursday and Friday. Thursday for Sankranthi which is an Indian Festival, and Friday for a partial solar eclipse which happens to be during school hours. And we have half a day of school on Saturday. But that's only because we have a test, or they wouldn't have let there be school on a Saturday, I guess. Seriously, it's time people realised the value of holidays, now at the advent of the decade. Make resolutions while the time lasts!! And this is longer lasting as it's a decade thing.
And speaking of tests, I better go study as one is right round the corner. Bye!!

Happy New Year Yet Again
By the way, my real name is Shraddha Murali, for those of you who are given the link to this blog but do not really know who's posting. I prefer to go by the pen name Sam, which is my initials reordered. And you can contact me at shraddha_murali@yahoo.co.in . No spam, please. That stuff really bugs me. If you want an example, there was this really famous guy called Bob who posted on various social networking sites like fb, orkut, youtube, goodreads etc. I don't know whether it was a guy or girl or gang, but he seemed really annoying to a lot of people in the cyberworld.
And speaking of books earlier in the post, yes, I am a reader. And lately I just finished the Percy Jackson series. I'll give a review in the next post, as it's 1am and I'm supposed to be in bed by now. Really, I'll visit tomorrow to give a proper goodbye to the Christmas holidays.
Bye for now....!!!

2010!!!!!
2009: the definition of short and undulated. It was the same for the most part. Even the transition from school years was fine. The Bollywood film industry flopped, mostly. There was a dramatic change in my friends and feelings. But it ended well. BTW, Lunar Eclipse at midnight. New Year's Treat. The good? I learnt a LOT this year. In March, I'd my first Finals. The summer was boring but tiring, as there were family celebrations. And the school year? Yeah the system totally flopped. Because of a couple of pigs in Mexico, leading to a worldwide pandemic. A lot of precautions were taken here. Especially in my school breaking up all the celebrations. SWINE FLU. Thank God people aren't so scared of it anymore. The way people were acting, you'd think it was the Black Death all over again, but this time with pigs. By God's Grace we can have a 'fresh start' from now. I repeat, 'fresh start' as you'll have to write the 3rd digit of the year not as a zero. Whee.
This year I'm a teenager. By this year, I mean 2009. I turned 13 in December. It seems like a lot of responsibility. But the glitch's that parents think that freedom is synonymous with responsibility. This year I've fulfilled at least one resolution: to try my hardest at music. But it goes on. Until I achieve something up to my satisfaction in it.
Reflecctions....be back in the afternoon I guess. Right now I'm watching my adrenaline rush as I see Shahid Kapoor dancing on screen. Jashhn
BOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S MIDNIGHT!!! 0:00
Need I say more????!!!
6.25 Hours to go...2010!!!!!
Now it's 6pm. So it's exactly 6 hours to go. By the way for those of you who don't know, there's a lunar eclipse tonight, and in South India, from 10pm to 2am, therefore coinciding with the celebrations. I'm not very religious, but I won't bother much as it's quite cloudy today, and I'll be inside celebrating. Last year we'd watched Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End for the first time. It ended up being one of my favourites. This year we're juss watching one of those Telly programs that u get with all the Bollywood actors and stuff. No movies :(. Private Pizza Party w/ family and neighbours.
I hope to find a free web hosting site so that you guys can do more stuff than just read my posts. I wanna start something more interactive, such as a forum. And a platform for music. I'm not a developed techie, nor do I plan on becoming one, so I would require assistants. Write a comment for this post if you're interested.
As for the reflections on this year, I wanna post at midnight for the full tearful emotional goodbye and the cheery, happy, goofy, bouncy Hello. And as for my desperate publicising, I have NOT monetised my blog. Just for you to know. I must be at least 16 or 17, I guess, for the thing to happen. But no, I happen to be a middle school student. Hence my plentiful time for posting, which I don't normally use for good causes. Which is another of my resolutions: update this thing. You guys can remind me if you want it to continue. Bye, see you in 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!

2010: 2 days to go.
This blog. Even though I've managed to get only 4 followers, not counting the people who just saw and complimented it and never bothered to see the 'Follow' button, It's been good writing for 2 years. I don't put much of an interest much, but I'd like to be a critic. I like crazy, creative but relatable stuff. If any of you who've viewed my blog have any stories to share, please do.
FRIENDS. NEVER able to forget em. They can pretend to be your enemies, which sounds crazy, but really, you can't really lose your compassion because of the memories...
I'm sounding serious here and maybe you guys are getting bored. It's an emotional moment as this is the first straight-through decade I've lived through. Buh-bye.
