Every Genius Has A Tinge of Madness

2010!!!!!

Here it is. It's finally here. Well, now it's 23:20. That means 40 more minutes to go. It'll probably be the end of the decade (starting from Y2K) by the time I finish this post.

2009: the definition of short and undulated. It was the same for the most part. Even the transition from school years was fine. The Bollywood film industry flopped, mostly. There was a dramatic change in my friends and feelings. But it ended well. BTW, Lunar Eclipse at midnight. New Year's Treat. The good? I learnt a LOT this year. In March, I'd my first Finals. The summer was boring but tiring, as there were family celebrations. And the school year? Yeah the system totally flopped. Because of a couple of pigs in Mexico, leading to a worldwide pandemic. A lot of precautions were taken here. Especially in my school breaking up all the celebrations. SWINE FLU. Thank God people aren't so scared of it anymore. The way people were acting, you'd think it was the Black Death all over again, but this time with pigs. By God's Grace we can have a 'fresh start' from now. I repeat, 'fresh start' as you'll have to write the 3rd digit of the year not as a zero. Whee.

This year I'm a teenager. By this year, I mean 2009. I turned 13 in December. It seems like a lot of responsibility. But the glitch's that parents think that freedom is synonymous with responsibility. This year I've fulfilled at least one resolution: to try my hardest at music. But it goes on. Until I achieve something up to my satisfaction in it.

Reflecctions....be back in the afternoon I guess. Right now I'm watching my adrenaline rush as I see Shahid Kapoor dancing on screen. Jashhn 200 2010. God, I guess I'll have to get used to typing only 1 zero.

                                             BOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S MIDNIGHT!!! 0:00

Need I say more????!!!

6.25 Hours to go...2010!!!!!

Clicheed title. Deja vu for those words, you'd say. But it's gotta happen, every 365.25/366 days that supposedly give you a chance to turn over a new leaf. O Gods. Resolutions pile up. I'd like to give you guys a tip: don't tell people whom you don't completely trust, or those who look fishy to your intuition, any of your resolutions. As I'm really open, I don't mind mentioning a few that everybody knows I want to do, which are the usual keep fit, have as much fun as possible, try to work on my dressing sense (it's horribly repetitive), and a few others which have to succumb to the rule. Or advice, which I find almost impossible to follow. It bides to the Law of Pride. We all know what that is.
Now it's 6pm. So it's exactly 6 hours to go. By the way for those of you who don't know, there's a lunar eclipse tonight, and in South India, from 10pm to 2am, therefore coinciding with the celebrations. I'm not very religious, but I won't bother much as it's quite cloudy today, and I'll be inside celebrating. Last year we'd watched Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End for the first time. It ended up being one of my favourites. This year we're juss watching one of those Telly programs that u get with all the Bollywood actors and stuff. No movies :(. Private Pizza Party w/ family and neighbours.

I hope to find a free web hosting site so that you guys can do more stuff than just read my posts. I wanna start something more interactive, such as a forum. And a platform for music. I'm not a developed techie, nor do I plan on becoming one, so I would require assistants. Write a comment for this post if you're interested.
As for the reflections on this year, I wanna post at midnight for the full tearful emotional goodbye and the cheery, happy, goofy, bouncy Hello. And as for my desperate publicising, I have NOT monetised my blog. Just for you to know. I must be at least 16 or 17, I guess, for the thing to happen. But no, I happen to be a middle school student. Hence my plentiful time for posting, which I don't normally use for good causes. Which is another of my resolutions: update this thing. You guys can remind me if you want it to continue. Bye, see you in 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!

2010: 2 days to go.

Music being my life, the sustenance and food and drink for my soul, is something I cannot live without. Fortunately, I've got company. And that includes at least half of the world's population, even if they don't realise it. As for me, this year I completed my Jr Level in Carnatic Music (with marginally low marks anyway) and had a lot more exposure to Western Music. But thrs been a loss: MJ, Gangubai Hangal, D K Pattamal, Ustad Akbar Ali Khan and C Ashwath, who happened to die on his birthday, which is sad in a way. IDK who else died, but this is enough.

This blog. Even though I've managed to get only 4 followers, not counting the people who just saw and complimented it and never bothered to see the 'Follow' button, It's been good writing for 2 years. I don't put much of an interest much, but I'd like to be a critic. I like crazy, creative but relatable stuff. If any of you who've viewed my blog have any stories to share, please do.

FRIENDS. NEVER able to forget em. They can pretend to be your enemies, which sounds crazy, but really, you can't really lose your compassion because of the memories...

I'm sounding serious here and maybe you guys are getting bored. It's an emotional moment as this is the first straight-through decade I've lived through. Buh-bye.

Belated Merry Christmas

I know, I know it's useless of me to keep a blog and NOT post at the most significant times. Hence my lack of followers. But my Christmas was great. Didn't get many presents, but a trip to Agani resort near Sakleshpur in Karnataka, India. The scenery is mountainous, the Western Ghats. We went hiking with my Dad's old college Basketball team and their families. Nearly to the highest peak in the range. And we had stuff like dancing round the bonfire, which even appealed to people as incapable of organised metabolism as me. There was this 20ft deep swimming pool too. I plan to shift my blog to a website. But dunno which. Can u guys please suggest one? I wanna try out some layout design as well. I hope that site allows hosting by blogger. Don't worry I'll be posting a proper year-end review like last year.

The recent movies I've seen are Paa and New Moon. New Moon became a phenomenal hit like duh, because of that Rob Pattinson buy who, according to me, looks like he's REALLY OLD, I mean literally. I know he's supposed to be 108, but he's a freaky attractive vampire, for crying out loud. Taylor Lautler looks HOT. Seriously, its worth going to the movie just for him. Paa as it got 4 stars by Bangalore Mirror (which is really, really rare, FYI), is great. I cried at the end, as usual. It's a really sweet movie, with great music, especially Mudi Mudi.
Yesterday I went to Vibsy's house. We had some naughty fun with prank calls and stuff. I couldn't fake a voice, so I used my cousin as a ploy to get a friend auditioning for a theatre company. And all of us r gonna receive the Times of India Metlife I Want to Be an Editor participation certificates. Seriously, the paper was kind of lame. They shud've made us write an essay or something. I prefer discussion boards and blogs, actually, which are actually views of the public. But nothing's better than good old fact. Which is why we subscribe to two newspapers?: Deccan Herald, for the news and it's organised layout through which we can actually find our way through, and Bangalore Mirror, for the opinionated articles. I recommend these two.
Right now my cousin's at home. She's bugging me to turn this thing off. Telling me off for typing something soo "unreadably long". Bye.

Happy Belated Birthday to me....

Yeah, as I've posted earlier, my birthday was on December 4th and no surprise that PVR postponed the New Moon release date to 11th. But I don't mind. My birthday this time was great anyway. I just invited Flo and Shwetha over (Shwetha stayed) and had a McDonalds meal from the one on Bull Temple Road. Yes, the one that's located right next to Ramakrishna Math. And opposite to a statue of Swami Vivekananda. Seriously, these people have no RESPECT. There are next door neighbours who are completely chaste, and then they open this (not-even-Indian) non-vegetarian restaurant on Bull Temple Road. But I still love McDonalds!! I just hope they shift it. Nearer and more to the South. There's one coming up in Central, but I want something that I can WALK TO!!! And then Shwetha came and I was mostly online. I had my relatives over for dinner, in which I actually filled my stomach with cake and nothing else. And then for the umpteenth time Shwetha and I watched Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. I felt sleepy and headweighted at 11 (that's early for me on a special occasion) and I made my wish. I had a really weird dream that night. There was a musical genius dancing horrible and my guitar and me ended up in an auto rickshaw. I had to go somewhere in the huge auto with friends from Brigade Gardenia. And then there were terrorists to escape from which I had to whip up some wind energy to speed up my flight with Vibha. I stayed the night in Vibha's house, and just when I was coming back home, I woke up. The lighting was candlelight at night and during the day it was sunny. There was a path through the forests when I escaped from the terrorists. Enough said. I guess that part of dream interpretation is for you guys. About how mad I am. Then Shwetha left, and I had a surprise birthday party by my dad's friends and their families in the Banashankari Club. The party was good, though I missed dinner and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Mega Challenge when it was Assam vs. West Bengal!!! Awww. Can someone please tell me who won??? I'd love to know. So now I have these sucky exams. I am sure I'm gonna flunk Social Science because I was sick for 3 days before the test and couldn't study. Today we had Science which was easy and on Wednesday we have freaky Sanskrit. Supposedly the second oldest Indian language. I HATE IT WITH OUR PRESENT TEACHER I'M SURE BRIGADIERS KNOW WHO I'M TALKING ABOUT. And then we have easy English Language on Friday.
So except for Sanskrit, I'll be kind of free.
I've been playing Farmville and I'm in level 20. I have grown Ponisettias so I hope I get a lot of Flower Bunches. Have you checked out the new Christmas Decorations and stuff in Farmville? They rock!!!! Fine I'll catch you all later, probably with the review of New Moon. Bye!!!

Dum, de Dum

Boring Sunday afternoon. And I'm not doing my Social Studies project.
This week was good, anyway. With a bad ending. So, even if it ends badly, All is kind of well. *Whatever happens, happens for the good*. I never thought I'd understand this, but now I do.
Well, the biggest fandom in the world right now, the Twilight Saga, launches its second movie instalment, New Moon on November 20th in most countries. And India happens NOT to be one of those 'most' countries. So it's been postponed by 2 FRICKIN WEEKS!!! Yeah, mass reaction. Ur with me. "How did we get here, when we used to know you so well!!" (Decode by Paramore. Great song). But then the postponed date happens to be December 4th, my birthday!!! Must be a dedication thing. First of all, my real name (not SAM) means dedication, and as I was dedicated to Harry Potter, I got The Tales of Beedle the Bard releasing last year. And this year, due to my Twlight dedication.......this happened. I heard from a person that the ending was.........

A cliffhanger. People who've read the books, Edward does his Major Scene that's going to change his existence (after returning from the Volturi) and then *Applause* *Whoops* "I love you Edward/Jacob!" *curtains close* (at least, that's what would've happened if it were live on stage). But no worries people, Eclipse's coming out in June 2010. So the wait is like 7th months, 6 months for us Indians. And Bella actually slaps Paul in the movie!!! Check it out on Youtube or wait 2 more weeks.
Man, life's really busy nowadays. I'll have to start posting regualrly to remember everything that we do. Largely to do with school, but still. There's a lot to remember.
I've been absolutely IN LOVE with the Harry Potter series ever since I was in the 3rd Grade. So for our Exhibition I decided to join the Harry Potter group. Problem: All the others are younger than me. But I'm happiest doing the thing I love, so I better just take control.
And starting December 2nd: The freaky EXAM MONSTER and it has to start with Social Studies. It so suckss...I don't think I will be able to post. Fine then Bye for now keep you posted!!!

Happy Belated Halloween!!!

Happy Belated Halloween as I couldn't post yesterday!! Well actually I was kind of celebrating. I don't live in an apartment so trick or treating is kinda hard. So I invited some friends over for a party...not a scary one though. Well, the truth or dare was. Scary having to reveal your secrets to a person whose sibling's friend is the object of the secrets. Please, everyone else who didn't come home yesterday, don't feel bad. Those who did, please feel free to share ur experiences. Of course, I had to dance. One of the dares from a really sweet gal. Sweet having to see me dance. Man, and that had to be Yeh Ishq from Jab We Met. Damn. I dressed up as a vampire. Not surprising as I can look scary without much makeup. Or I can act scary anyway. In a hyper sorta way. I stayed up till 3 in da morn with two of my best friends (Vibha n Shwetha) discussing sssstuuuuuffffff. And horror stories. And we watched Twilight. No scares. Cept my hyperactivity, of course. And we played a game of UNO where I won!!! That's rare. And we were being critical of everyone. It was a kind of talent show too. Too bad u didnt dance Ani. Well, one of ny neighbours danced to When I Grow Up by the PCD and I sang a song I wrote. Post it later. It's late now. Sorry if the post wasn't satisfying. Bye!!

Howdy!

Howdy all!!
I guess its because of that Farmville thing. Very influential. And popular. But I am NOT into business. It's only because its a game ans cause its online. What do you think of it? I've got an absolutely empty room to-let for comments!!! Anyone, anytime can post comments, except for the explicit sort. I just finished reading Eoin Colfer's Airman. Great book!!! I'd give it 6 or 7/10. Any of u guys read it? If u haven't, here: It's a story set in 19th century Europe and about a guy, Conor Broekhart, who was born to fly, or more accurately, born flying. It's great for Sci-fi lovers. For those who don't know, Eoin Colfer's also the author of the Megaselling Artemis Fowl series. I'm sure you've heard of it if you like Science Fiction. Has anyone voted in the People's Choice Awards (www.peopleschoice.com) ? Please do so if you want your favourite singers, songs, movies, actors or TV shows to win.
Who doesn't like chocolate in this world? Be it dark, white or milk, I bet you'd find it hard to find a person not liking all three of those. I'm addicted to dark and milk chocolate and usually CAN'T survive without em..must be the caffeine......one of the disadvantages. I absolutely HATE to study often n need chocolate in the rare event that I do so (i.e., a week before tests start). No matter as I usually get straight A's. Stil, I owe it to chocolate. That and my teeth tartaring often. And, as a 6th Grader so politely pointed out to me in public (my English Club at school), my fat. My faves are Cadbury, Hershey's and Lindt. Sorry, but I couldn't resist- (the pics didnt show up)
Chocolate Lovers (reandom topic for a game...cause its CHOCOLATE!!)
Okay you chocolate lovers...... ..
Im not sure how this works, but it does!! Have fun!
YOUR AGE BY CHOCOLATE MATH
Don't tell me your age; you'd probably lie anyway-but the Hershey Man will know! This is pretty neat.DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST!It takes less than a minute .Work this out as you read .Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out!
1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have chocolate (more than once but less than 10)
2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)
3. Add 54. Multiply it by 50 -- I'll wait while you get the calculator
5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1759 ..If you haven't, add 1758.
6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.
You should have a three digit number. The first digit of this was your original number (i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week). The next two numbers are YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!)
THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2009) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT AROUND WHILE IT LASTS. THE CHOCOLATE CALCULATOR (CHOCULATOR!!!)

Oh I know its such a random topic!!!!
Does anyone watch Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs? It's and Indian reality singing show for kids. Prodigies, I mean. The finalists this year are:
Shreyasi Bhattacharjee (Kolkata) - The most promising female singer!!!
Yatharth Ratnam Rastogi (Varanasi) - "Banarasi Romeo", this cute guy's got what it takes to woo the world with his amazing voice. By shouting, b=mostly. But perfect singing
Hemant Brijwasi (Mathura) - Mathura ka Balmurari, he's THE BEST AND HIS LEGACY WILL STICK FOREVER so please vote for him!!!! He's flawless, got an AMAZING voice, and better than any professional singer whose voive I've heard. Baki Biharilal ki JAI!!

Finals are tomorrow. Visit www.lilchamps2009.com for details.
Bye for now. Keep you posted!!!

Heyyy its been a loong time...well actually I switched to Windows Live Spaces for sum time. But I will continue posting simultaneously here and there. I just came here for a short visit, as I have tests and can't manage to type out long stories, which are about the only things I can post to those who don't know me personally here. Any of you guys familiar with Sanskrit, the ancient Indian language? Yeah this verse is really really really weird and our whole class cracked up (laughing) trying to decipher it:

परान्नं प्राप्यम दुर्बुद्धे! मा शरीरे दयां कुरु ।
परान्नं दुर्लभं लोके शरीराणि पुनः पुनः ॥

Yeah all I no is that it's got something to do with food. By the way: first coincidental visitor!!!! Not to brag, but this is quite hard to believe fr me. A person came across this blog who just kind of knew my name and age and then her friend said that it looked like mine. they told my mom and then it turned out to be so!!! Yeah I think that's it for today cause I don't have much time.

Catch y'all later!

Hey!!!
So I'm finally back managing to go thru an entire month without posting...my main reason for this is that I was very reluctant to post my song "When You Smile", which is a comple te cliche anyway, which I'd resolved to post. As you see, I never ende up doing it. There're no instruments I can play. Anyway, back to now. FINALS are starting on Tuesday and I won't be back until maybe the 31st. It's been an endlessly great schoolyear, thanks to our endlessly great class clowns and brainiacs and friends and....alll of that!!! I'm still a little sad here....it's an extreme dichotomy. I had a pretty good friend for two years and who wasn't much of a friend for the past two. That's in short. But she's moving away and so I wrote this poem. If the person in question is reading this, I assure you that these are my real feelings, and please excuse me if there are any wrong perceptions, since I look at things in a pretty different way. Here Goes -

Will You Stay?
Sometimes I may have done something to you
Even though I didn't care a bit
Even though you didn't too
Even if I didn't wish it
I surprisingly am happy if you are
Even though from my heart you're far
Even though you're not my lucky star
Even though my feelings were waging a war
I had no idea what to do for
Someone who might've thought I was a bore
Who may have hated me to the core
But then my heart just about tore
Because it didn't know how to choose
Between love and hatred; to win or lose
Couldn't come up with a clever ruse
Whether to be narcissist or altruist
But now you are really moving away
You have always broken or made my days
I feel good and bad; nonetheless I pray-
Should my feelings go astray or...will you stay?
I'm sorry for my negative outlook on things, but that's just the way I am. It's late and I have to go. Be back on 31st, Bye!

Hi!!

The MindSpace exhibition's over and we're free!! EXCEPT of course for Finals which are coming up in MarchThe rebellion's died down in school, but with a fresh new target. This target's not so much hit as the ones before (I think it's understandable). This target is another good friend of mine. But here, it's isn't advisable to really trust ANYONE, unless you're really, really, really sure. I've been a serious victim. I wanna know how to really know who're the ones to trust.

Hey!!!

Hey y'all, loong time (I guess that's become a usual dialogue now)
Oh, as usual, my New Year Resolution of Reguilar Blogging went down the drain. So did my other resolutions like staying fit and working harder in studies (not that I'm a nerd, as I'm often mistaken to be. I actually study for 0 hours at home on normal days and study as long as it takes on exam days which are 1 week before the exams start and between them). The New Year's going fine, and the weather's wayy colder than usual out here for Bangalore. Our Mindspace Exhibition's coming up, and it's on The Jungle Book (the actual book). I'm done for today cause it's a little late, so Bye!

HAPPY NEW YEAR (OFFICIALLY) EVERYBODY!!!

Hey!!!
Yup, I'm mighty excited, cause it's a new year and it's taken time to sink in. So this is IT. But surprisingly today was boring. What I had hoped to be a revelry-filled New Year's Day turned out to be a normal boring day with reading, surfin the net, eating etc. the usual 'boring' day activities. I was reading The Bartimaeus Trilogy: The Amulet of Samarkand. It's the first book in the series, for people who don't already know, since it's quite popular and terrifically enthralling. View the Shelfari reviews here - http://www.shelfari.com/books/57872/The-Amulet-of-Samarkand-(The-Bartimaeus-Trilogy-Book-1) . And...nothing much else. I was on the net all evening...and night. Just chatting, etc. Ok well, cya later bye!!1
