Every Genius Has A Tinge of Madness

2010!!!!!

Here it is. It's finally here. Well, now it's 23:20. That means 40 more minutes to go. It'll probably be the end of the decade (starting from Y2K) by the time I finish this post.

2009: the definition of short and undulated. It was the same for the most part. Even the transition from school years was fine. The Bollywood film industry flopped, mostly. There was a dramatic change in my friends and feelings. But it ended well. BTW, Lunar Eclipse at midnight. New Year's Treat. The good? I learnt a LOT this year. In March, I'd my first Finals. The summer was boring but tiring, as there were family celebrations. And the school year? Yeah the system totally flopped. Because of a couple of pigs in Mexico, leading to a worldwide pandemic. A lot of precautions were taken here. Especially in my school breaking up all the celebrations. SWINE FLU. Thank God people aren't so scared of it anymore. The way people were acting, you'd think it was the Black Death all over again, but this time with pigs. By God's Grace we can have a 'fresh start' from now. I repeat, 'fresh start' as you'll have to write the 3rd digit of the year not as a zero. Whee.

This year I'm a teenager. By this year, I mean 2009. I turned 13 in December. It seems like a lot of responsibility. But the glitch's that parents think that freedom is synonymous with responsibility. This year I've fulfilled at least one resolution: to try my hardest at music. But it goes on. Until I achieve something up to my satisfaction in it.

Reflecctions....be back in the afternoon I guess. Right now I'm watching my adrenaline rush as I see Shahid Kapoor dancing on screen. Jashhn 200 2010. God, I guess I'll have to get used to typing only 1 zero.

                                             BOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S MIDNIGHT!!! 0:00

Need I say more????!!!

6.25 Hours to go...2010!!!!!

Clicheed title. Deja vu for those words, you'd say. But it's gotta happen, every 365.25/366 days that supposedly give you a chance to turn over a new leaf. O Gods. Resolutions pile up. I'd like to give you guys a tip: don't tell people whom you don't completely trust, or those who look fishy to your intuition, any of your resolutions. As I'm really open, I don't mind mentioning a few that everybody knows I want to do, which are the usual keep fit, have as much fun as possible, try to work on my dressing sense (it's horribly repetitive), and a few others which have to succumb to the rule. Or advice, which I find almost impossible to follow. It bides to the Law of Pride. We all know what that is.
Now it's 6pm. So it's exactly 6 hours to go. By the way for those of you who don't know, there's a lunar eclipse tonight, and in South India, from 10pm to 2am, therefore coinciding with the celebrations. I'm not very religious, but I won't bother much as it's quite cloudy today, and I'll be inside celebrating. Last year we'd watched Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End for the first time. It ended up being one of my favourites. This year we're juss watching one of those Telly programs that u get with all the Bollywood actors and stuff. No movies :(. Private Pizza Party w/ family and neighbours.

I hope to find a free web hosting site so that you guys can do more stuff than just read my posts. I wanna start something more interactive, such as a forum. And a platform for music. I'm not a developed techie, nor do I plan on becoming one, so I would require assistants. Write a comment for this post if you're interested.
As for the reflections on this year, I wanna post at midnight for the full tearful emotional goodbye and the cheery, happy, goofy, bouncy Hello. And as for my desperate publicising, I have NOT monetised my blog. Just for you to know. I must be at least 16 or 17, I guess, for the thing to happen. But no, I happen to be a middle school student. Hence my plentiful time for posting, which I don't normally use for good causes. Which is another of my resolutions: update this thing. You guys can remind me if you want it to continue. Bye, see you in 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!

2010: 2 days to go.

Music being my life, the sustenance and food and drink for my soul, is something I cannot live without. Fortunately, I've got company. And that includes at least half of the world's population, even if they don't realise it. As for me, this year I completed my Jr Level in Carnatic Music (with marginally low marks anyway) and had a lot more exposure to Western Music. But thrs been a loss: MJ, Gangubai Hangal, D K Pattamal, Ustad Akbar Ali Khan and C Ashwath, who happened to die on his birthday, which is sad in a way. IDK who else died, but this is enough.

This blog. Even though I've managed to get only 4 followers, not counting the people who just saw and complimented it and never bothered to see the 'Follow' button, It's been good writing for 2 years. I don't put much of an interest much, but I'd like to be a critic. I like crazy, creative but relatable stuff. If any of you who've viewed my blog have any stories to share, please do.

FRIENDS. NEVER able to forget em. They can pretend to be your enemies, which sounds crazy, but really, you can't really lose your compassion because of the memories...

I'm sounding serious here and maybe you guys are getting bored. It's an emotional moment as this is the first straight-through decade I've lived through. Buh-bye.

Belated Merry Christmas

I know, I know it's useless of me to keep a blog and NOT post at the most significant times. Hence my lack of followers. But my Christmas was great. Didn't get many presents, but a trip to Agani resort near Sakleshpur in Karnataka, India. The scenery is mountainous, the Western Ghats. We went hiking with my Dad's old college Basketball team and their families. Nearly to the highest peak in the range. And we had stuff like dancing round the bonfire, which even appealed to people as incapable of organised metabolism as me. There was this 20ft deep swimming pool too. I plan to shift my blog to a website. But dunno which. Can u guys please suggest one? I wanna try out some layout design as well. I hope that site allows hosting by blogger. Don't worry I'll be posting a proper year-end review like last year.

The recent movies I've seen are Paa and New Moon. New Moon became a phenomenal hit like duh, because of that Rob Pattinson buy who, according to me, looks like he's REALLY OLD, I mean literally. I know he's supposed to be 108, but he's a freaky attractive vampire, for crying out loud. Taylor Lautler looks HOT. Seriously, its worth going to the movie just for him. Paa as it got 4 stars by Bangalore Mirror (which is really, really rare, FYI), is great. I cried at the end, as usual. It's a really sweet movie, with great music, especially Mudi Mudi.
Yesterday I went to Vibsy's house. We had some naughty fun with prank calls and stuff. I couldn't fake a voice, so I used my cousin as a ploy to get a friend auditioning for a theatre company. And all of us r gonna receive the Times of India Metlife I Want to Be an Editor participation certificates. Seriously, the paper was kind of lame. They shud've made us write an essay or something. I prefer discussion boards and blogs, actually, which are actually views of the public. But nothing's better than good old fact. Which is why we subscribe to two newspapers?: Deccan Herald, for the news and it's organised layout through which we can actually find our way through, and Bangalore Mirror, for the opinionated articles. I recommend these two.
Right now my cousin's at home. She's bugging me to turn this thing off. Telling me off for typing something soo "unreadably long". Bye.

Happy Belated Birthday to me....

Yeah, as I've posted earlier, my birthday was on December 4th and no surprise that PVR postponed the New Moon release date to 11th. But I don't mind. My birthday this time was great anyway. I just invited Flo and Shwetha over (Shwetha stayed) and had a McDonalds meal from the one on Bull Temple Road. Yes, the one that's located right next to Ramakrishna Math. And opposite to a statue of Swami Vivekananda. Seriously, these people have no RESPECT. There are next door neighbours who are completely chaste, and then they open this (not-even-Indian) non-vegetarian restaurant on Bull Temple Road. But I still love McDonalds!! I just hope they shift it. Nearer and more to the South. There's one coming up in Central, but I want something that I can WALK TO!!! And then Shwetha came and I was mostly online. I had my relatives over for dinner, in which I actually filled my stomach with cake and nothing else. And then for the umpteenth time Shwetha and I watched Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. I felt sleepy and headweighted at 11 (that's early for me on a special occasion) and I made my wish. I had a really weird dream that night. There was a musical genius dancing horrible and my guitar and me ended up in an auto rickshaw. I had to go somewhere in the huge auto with friends from Brigade Gardenia. And then there were terrorists to escape from which I had to whip up some wind energy to speed up my flight with Vibha. I stayed the night in Vibha's house, and just when I was coming back home, I woke up. The lighting was candlelight at night and during the day it was sunny. There was a path through the forests when I escaped from the terrorists. Enough said. I guess that part of dream interpretation is for you guys. About how mad I am. Then Shwetha left, and I had a surprise birthday party by my dad's friends and their families in the Banashankari Club. The party was good, though I missed dinner and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Mega Challenge when it was Assam vs. West Bengal!!! Awww. Can someone please tell me who won??? I'd love to know. So now I have these sucky exams. I am sure I'm gonna flunk Social Science because I was sick for 3 days before the test and couldn't study. Today we had Science which was easy and on Wednesday we have freaky Sanskrit. Supposedly the second oldest Indian language. I HATE IT WITH OUR PRESENT TEACHER I'M SURE BRIGADIERS KNOW WHO I'M TALKING ABOUT. And then we have easy English Language on Friday.
So except for Sanskrit, I'll be kind of free.
I've been playing Farmville and I'm in level 20. I have grown Ponisettias so I hope I get a lot of Flower Bunches. Have you checked out the new Christmas Decorations and stuff in Farmville? They rock!!!! Fine I'll catch you all later, probably with the review of New Moon. Bye!!!
